The midfield relies on a double pivot to manage the center of the pitch. KANGA and N´DONG work together to shield the defence and recycle possession when the team needs to slow the tempo. KANGA helps to carry the ball forward to link the defensive unit with the front line. N´DONG focuses on winning the ball back and cutting off the passing lane to the opposition attackers. This duo must stay disciplined to prevent the team from being overrun in the middle.

The forwards are expected to press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.
