Real Sporting focuses on a direct and balanced way of playing through a 4-4-2. This lineup relies on clear banks of players to maintain control and look for quick transitions. The team aims to control the middle of the pitch while maintaining enough distance between lines to stop opponents from playing through them.

Rivero stands between the posts to organize the back line. The defense operates with a flat back four consisting of Redondo at right back and Cundi at left back. In the center, Jiménez and Maceda work together to cover space and win headers. Redondo and Cundi often push up to provide width, while Jiménez and Maceda step up to intercept passes or hold a high line to compress the pitch.

The midfield functions as a central block with two central midfielders and two wide players. Ciriaco (C) acts as the engine in the middle, leading the group with his leadership as captain. Joaquín plays alongside him to help shield the defense and connect the back line to the attack. On the flanks, Mesa and Uría provide width, tracking back to help the full backs when defending and pushing forward to cross the ball when attacking.

Enzo Ferrero plays as a lone striker in certain moments to hold up the ball, while Abel looks to make runs into the channels. The two attackers press the opposition defenders high up the pitch, forcing mistakes and creating chances for the midfielders to break the line.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, such as the ability to create wide overloads when Mesa and Redondo work together. The team can also achieve high levels of compactness when defending in a mid block, making it difficult for opponents to find gaps between the midfield and defense.
