A high press and rapid transition style defines this lineup in a 5-2-3 formation. The team focuses on winning the ball high up the pitch and hitting the opposition quickly through wide channels. This formation is built to play with verticality, looking to exploit space behind the opponent's defensive line as soon as possession is regained.

Zummo operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back five consists of a central trio with Scalisi Mattia acting as the anchor in the middle. Raia plays as the right centre-back to provide cover, while Romeo holds the left side of the central zone. The wide defenders, Cirafici as the right wing back and Rotolo as the left wing back, are tasked with providing width and covering the flanks. Cirafici and Rotolo must track back to help the back three, but they also push high to join the attack.

The midfield operates as a double pivot to control the central zone. D'Acquisto and Ribaudo act as the two central midfielders who must balance defensive duties with ball progression. D'Acquisto works to shield the back five and intercept passes, while Ribaudo helps to connect the defensive line to the forward players. These two players are responsible for recycling possession and finding the wide players to switch play when the middle is congested.

Fontana plays as the right winger, while Lo Coco operates on the left side. Fontana and Lo Coco tend to cut inside to create space for the wing backs to overlap.
