The midfield operates as a dense block designed to control the tempo and protect the back line. BALEBA sits as the single pivot to shield the defense and break up play. To his sides, NAMASO and EBONG work to connect the defense to the attack by moving the ball between the lines. TCHAMADEU and YONGWA provide the width, acting as wing backs who push into advanced positions to support the central core.
