The team plays a high risk vertical game using a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup focuses on heavy pressing and rapid transitions to catch the opponent off guard. By pushing many players forward, the team seeks to win the ball high up the pitch and attack with numbers in every zone.

RAFAEL acts as the lone goalkeeper behind a very narrow defensive line. FERNANDO and OSWALDO form a two man central defence that must stay compact to prevent long balls. Because there are no full backs, FERNANDO and OSWALDO must be ready to step up to engage attackers or cover huge amounts of space behind them. They act as the last line of protection while the rest of the team pushes high.

The midfield is a dense unit designed to dominate the center of the pitch. GABRIEL and ROBERTO work as a double pivot to shield the two central defenders and protect the space in front of the back line. TOMÁS and LUÍS MANUEL operate in the half spaces to connect the defensive and attacking lines, with TOMÁS often driving forward with the ball. JUAN sits as an attacking ten behind the striker to play through the lines and create chances. This five man midfield allows the team to squeeze the space and dominate possession in the middle thirds.

An aggressive front line uses three attackers to pin the opposition back. SALOMÓN plays as a pressing centre forward to harass the defenders and win the second ball. On the flanks, YEFERSON and JEFFERSON act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to stretch the defence. This allows SALOMÓN to find space in the middle or receive layoffs from the wide players. The attack relies on quick combinations and quick movement to hit in behind on the transition.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. With five midfielders and three attackers, the team can trigger a press effectively to force a long ball. Another strength is the numerical superiority in the middle, which allows the team to control the tempo and recycle possession easily.

This formation is built for high intensity football that relies on winning the ball back quickly in the final third. It is best suited for games against opponents that struggle to play out from the back or cannot handle extreme central pressure.
