LUÍS operates as the lone goalkeeper behind a very narrow defensive line. The back two consisting of ANDRÉS and FIDEL must act as high line defenders, often stepping up to squeeze the space and catch opponents offside. Because there are only two central defenders, they must be dominant in the air and quick to cover if the opposition breaks through the initial press. The defensive unit functions as a high risk, high reward block that relies on winning the ball back immediately.

In the middle of the pitch, a four man midfield provides the engine for this system. ADOLFO sits in a single pivot role to shield the defense and break the line with his passing. To his sides, LUÍS and ANÍBAL act as two central midfielders who drive forward with the ball to support the attack. ADALBERTO operates in the half spaces to connect the defensive and attacking lines, helping to recycle possession and ensure the team can progress through the thirds. This midfield group must work hard to track back and prevent counter attacks.

The attacking front line is extremely heavy with four players across the front. BLÁS and LUIS work as two forwards in a partnership, looking to find the feet of the striker or run in behind the defense. On the flanks, PUMA and EDGAR YOEL act as wide wingers who stretch the defence by staying wide. They aim to get to the byline and deliver early crosses into the box. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball, allowing the midfield and defenders to intercept and start a new attack.

This formation offers massive numerical superiority in the attacking third. The presence of four forwards makes it very hard for a standard back four to defend, often creating one on one situations for PUMA and EDGAR YOEL. Another strength is the ability to press in coordinated waves, using the entire frontline to trigger a press. When the team wins the ball, they can break quickly to exploit the spaces left by an advancing opponent.
