In the center, Nuraly and Yury form the defensive core, with Nuraly covering space while Yury stays deep to intercept passes and use his aerial strength.

The midfield works through a combination of a central trio to control the tempo. Islambek and Andrey occupy the central roles to shield the defense and win second balls. Islambek drives forward to link play, while Andrey holds position to intercept. Maksim operates as an attacking midfielder, pushing into the pockets of space between the opposition midfield and defense to create chances. This trio connects the defense to the attack by breaking lines with quick passing.

Kazakhstan employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. Viktor acts as a lone striker, holding up the ball to allow teammates to join the attack.
