Caíque stands between the posts to command the area and start play from the back. A flat back four forms the foundation of the defense with Emerson and Cicinho acting as the wide defenders. Emerson pushes up the left flank to provide width, while Cicinho overlaps to support the right side. In the middle, Jonathan and Maurício hold the line, with Jonathan acting as a ball playing defender to help build play and Maurício providing cover and aerial strength to intercept long balls.

The midfield works as a trio that connects the defensive unit to the attackers. Nathan and Willian occupy the central roles to control the tempo and shield the back four from direct attacks. They step up to intercept passes and then look to drive forward into space. Isaque plays as an attacking midfielder, operating in the pockets of space between the opposition midfield and defense to create chances and break the line with vertical passes.

Guarani employs three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. Maranhão leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring others into play. On the wings, Guilherme and Mirandinha act as inverted wingers who cut inside to shoot or create. The front three press in coordination to prevent the opponent from playing out from the back.

This lineup offers several tactical advantages during a match. The team can create wide overloads when Emerson and Guilherme double up on the flank, or when Cicinho pushes high to assist Mirandinha.
