Wilson sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four with Moenda and Clebão acting as the central defenders. Moenda acts as a ball playing defender while Clebão provides cover to sweep behind the high line. On the flanks, Pinga plays as an attacking full back to provide width, while Casagrande tracks back to defend against wide runners. The unit stays compact to deny the turn and protect the central zone.

The midfield is a five man unit designed to dominate the center of the pitch. Galego Beck and Carlos Alberto form a double pivot to shield the defense and protect the two center backs. Galego Beck sits deep to recycle possession while Carlos Alberto works to intercept passes and break the line. In front of them, Balduíno and Fernandes act as inverted eights, with Balduíno making late runs into the box and Fernandes looking to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Calico operates as an attacking ten behind the striker to find pockets of space and play through the lines.

In the attacking phase, the team relies on a lone striker, Albeneir, who functions as a pressing centre-forward. Albeneir works to pin the last defender and hold up the ball to bring the midfielders into the game. When the team wins the ball, the wide players and Calico look to support the striker through quick combinations. The movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow the full backs to overlap the winger, creating numerical superiority on the flanks.
