Matz acts as the last line of defense in goal. In front of him, a flat back four works to maintain compactness. Murillo and Nikola form the central pairing, with Murillo acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks from the back. Neco pushes up the right flank to provide width, while Oleksandr covers the left side to ensure the team stays solid when the full backs move forward.

The midfield relies on a trio to connect the defense to the attack. Ibrahim and Elliot occupy the central roles to shield the back line and intercept passes. Morgan operates in the attacking ten position to create chances and link the play. This midfield unit must work hard to press together and prevent the opposition from playing through the center.
