IGOR tends to cover space while KONSTANTINOS provides aerial strength to defend crosses. On the flanks, OLIVER and KYLE provide width and are expected to overlap to support the attack. When the team sits deep, these four stay compact to block passing lanes and protect the central areas.

The midfield functions as a trio with a single pivot to protect the defense. GUIDO sits in front of the back four to intercept passes and shield the center. SOUNGOUTOU operates in the right central channel to drive forward and carry the ball into the final third. FREDDIE plays as an attacking midfielder, finding pockets of space between the opposition midfield and defense to create chances. This trio links the defensive block to the front three through quick, short passes.

West Ham employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. CALLUM leads the line as a lone striker, using his presence to hold up the ball and bring others into play. On the wings, PABLO and MATEUS act as wide attackers who look to cut inside and threaten the goal. These two wingers press the opposition full backs high up the pitch to force turnovers. The movement of PABLO and MATEUS creates space in the middle for FREDDIE to run into.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. When the forwards press, the midfield trio steps up to squeeze the space, making it difficult for the opponent to build from the back. Another strength is the speed of transition. Once GUIDO or SOUNGOUTOU wins the ball, they can immediately switch play to the wide areas, allowing KYLE or OLIVER to join the attack and create numerical superiority.

This 4-3-3 formation focuses on aggressive pressing and rapid forward movements. It is a lineup best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
