The unit stays compact to prevent balls from being played through the middle.

Barella drives forward with his high energy and engine to link the play, while Zielinski looks to create chances through his passing range. Sucic provides the necessary presence to shield the defense and hold the ball under pressure. This trio works to intercept passes and quickly switch play to the wings once the ball is regained.
