A high pressing and attacking identity defines Celtic as they operate in a 4-3-3. This formation aims to dominate the pitch through aggressive ball recovery and rapid transitions. The lineup is built to control games by staying high up the pitch and forcing errors from the opposition in their own half.

VILJAMI starts between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat four where JULIÁN acts as the right back to provide width. On the left, MARCELO pushes forward to overlap and support the attack. In the center, STEPHEN and AUSTON hold the line, with STEPHEN covering space while AUSTON engages attackers. This unit works to keep the team compact and pushes up to squeeze the space between the defense and midfield.

The midfield functions with a combination of three players to control the center of the pitch. LUKE and ODIN act as the central engine room, with LUKE occupying the left central role and ODIN handling the right. They work to break the line with passes and shield the defense when the team loses possession. PAULO operates as the attacking midfielder, sitting just behind the front three to connect the lines and drive the ball forward into dangerous areas.

An aggressive front three leads the Celtic attack. TOMAS sits as the lone striker to hold up the ball and occupy the central defenders. On the flanks, SEBASTIAN plays as the left winger and YANG plays as the right winger. Both SEBASTIAN and YANG look to cut inside to create scoring chances or stay wide to cross the ball into the box. These attackers press high to prevent the opposition from building from the back.

Several tactical advantages stem from this setup. The team can create wide overloads when JULIÁN and YANG push forward on one side, or when MARCELO and SEBASTIAN do the same on the other. Having PAULO in the pocket allows the team to achieve numerical superiority in the final third. This setup also allows the team to press high in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high energy to maintain pressure across the pitch. It is best suited for matches against teams that sit deep and struggle to cope with constant vertical movement.
