The lineup is built to hit the opposition on the break and use the presence of two strikers to pin the defenders back. By keeping the lines tight, the team aims to win the second ball and move the play forward rapidly through the middle and wide areas.

In goal, al-Habsi acts as the last line of defense. The defensive unit sits in a flat back four, with S. al-Mukhaini acting as a defensive wing back on the right to help protect the flank. Mudhafar provides balance on the left, while Ayil and al-Noobi form the central pairing. Ayil is tasked with being dominant in the air and clearing the lines during periods of pressure. al-Noobi works to cover the space behind the full backs and maintains a compact shape when the team sits deep.

The midfield operates with a single pivot in Kano, who sits in front of the back four to shield the defense and intercept passes. To his sides, Bashir and Hadid form a central pairing that connects the defensive and attacking lines. Bashir is responsible for pressing aggressively to win the ball high, while Hadid looks to carry the ball forward and drive into the half spaces. al-Maimani plays in a more advanced role, acting as an attacking ten who sits just behind the strikers to find the feet of the attackers or arrive late into the box.

Up front, the team uses two forwards in a partnership of al-Hosni and al-Dhabit. They work in close combinations to pull the defenders out of position. al-Dhabit acts as the lead striker to hold up the ball and bring others into play, while al-Hosni looks to make runs in behind the defense. This two-man attack is designed to stretch the defense, creating space for al-Maimani to operate. When out of possession, both strikers press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers several tactical advantages, such as the ability to create numerical superiority in the central areas when the midfielders push up. The team also benefits from the speed of transition, allowing them to break quickly once Kano or the central midfielders win possession.
