Augusto covers the left channel and Darmian handles the right, allowing them to step up into midfield or drop to form a low block when needed. This defensive unit works together to keep the lines tight and protect the central zone.

The midfield relies on a four man line to control the center and the flanks. Bovo and Sucic sit in the middle to shield the defense and break the lines with vertical passes. Diouf and Cocchi provide the necessary width from the wide areas. Diouf pushes up to support the attack while Cocchi tracks back to help the defense, ensuring the midfield remains compact when the team loses possession.

Three attackers lead the charge to pressure the opposition defense. Esposito leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and create space. Kamate and Bonny operate as wide attackers, looking to cut inside or stretch the play to create mismatches. These forwards press high in unison to force turnovers in the final third, forcing the opposition to play long or make mistakes under pressure.

Inter finds success through several tactical advantages. The presence of Diouf and Cocchi allows for wide overloads that force the opposing full backs to defend deep.
