Mark A acts as the last line of defence in goal. The back line sits as a flat back four with Tobi (C) leading the unit as the captain. Tobi (C) acts as a dominant presence in the air to clear long balls, while Edmond plays alongside him to provide covering. Favour operates at left back to maintain the defensive line, and Chisom plays at right back to support the flank. The defensive unit works to keep the space between the lines small and force the opposition into wide areas.

In the middle of the pitch, the team uses a central pairing of Charles and Stephen to control the tempo. Charles functions as a player who connects the defensive and attacking lines, while Stephen works to shield the defence and win the second ball.
