Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
DSAVED · SAVO · Ben O’Brien · Divin · Nosa Iggz (C) · Leon · David Agbo · Marvin · Iminu · Kian Cummins · JoeyA highly aggressive, vertical identity defines this lineup, which operates in an unusual 2-5-3 formation. This team seeks to overwhelm the opposition through sheer numbers in the middle of the pitch and rapid forward movements. By stacking the center, the side intends to win the ball back high up the pitch and move the ball toward the goal as quickly as possible.
DSAVED acts as the lone presence at the back to sweep behind the two central defenders. SAVO and Ben O’Brien form a narrow pair of centre backs that must be prepared to defend large amounts of space behind them. Because there are no full backs, these two players must stay disciplined and cover the width of the pitch when the opposition breaks quickly. They rely on the midfielders to drop back and squeeze the space before a runner can exploit the gaps.
The midfield acts as the engine room of this formation, utilizing a five man block to control the center. Nosa Iggz, the captain, sits in the right central midfield role to shield the defense and recycle possession. Divin operates in the center to connect the lines, while Joey provides energy from the left central midfield position. In the half spaces, Iminu and Leon push high to act as attacking midfielders. This heavy midfield presence allows the team to dominate the ball and press in pairs to force a long ball from the opponent.
In the final third, the team uses three attackers to pin the last defender. David Agbo acts as the central striker, working to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Kian Cummins and Marvin stay wide as wingers to stretch the defense. Kian Cummins and Marvin can also cut inside to create extra numbers in the box. This front line is designed to press the opposition back line immediately, creating chances through quick combinations and runs in behind.
The primary strength of this setup is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it very difficult for opponents to play through the center. The team can also transition with great speed because the midfielders and attackers are already positioned to attack the space. By crowding the central areas, the players can win the second ball and keep the pressure high against the opposition.
This 2-5-3 formation is built for heavy pressing and dominating the center of the pitch. It is best suited for games where the team needs to take control through high intensity and verticality.
