This group works to win the ball back quickly and shift the play across the pitch.

Italy attacks using two strikers, Retegui and Kean, to stretch the opposition. Dimarco and Politano act as wide players to provide width and support the midfield. Dimarco pushes high to overlap and deliver crosses from the left, while Politano works the right side to cut inside or find space.
