This lineup seeks to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately hurt the opposition through vertical passing. David Raya acts as the last line of defense, acting as a ball playing goalkeeper to help start the buildup from the back. The defensive unit consists of a back three with Saliba and Gabriel occupying the central slots, while Norgaard sits alongside them to provide extra cover. Saliba uses his recovery speed and composure to intercept passes, whereas Gabriel provides aerial strength and physical presence. On the flanks, Timber and Calafiori act as wing backs, ready to push up the pitch to provide width or drop deep to form a back five when the team sits deep.

The midfield works as a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Declan Rice occupies the left side to shield the defense and break the line with his driving runs, often dropping between the center backs when needed. Alongside him, Eze operates to connect the defense with the front three, looking to find pockets of space between the lines. This duo must work hard to track back and cover the space left behind by the advancing wing backs.

Arsenal employs three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. Gyokeres leads the line as a lone striker, using his strength to hold up the ball and bring others into play. The team can also create wide overloads by having Timber and Calafiori push forward to support the wingers.
