Piotr sits in the attacking midfield role to connect the midfield to the front line. Denzel and Federico provide the width, acting as wing backs who must cover the entire flank. Denzel pushes high to cross the ball, whereas Federico tracks back to help the defense when the team loses possession.

Inter relies on two strikers to lead the press and occupy the opposition center backs. Lautaro leads the line as the left striker, often looking to hold up the ball and create space.
