Bernardo sits between the posts to organize the defense from the back. A flat back four provides the base, with Brayan and Christian acting as the central pair. Brayan and Christian must hold their ground and cover the space behind the wide players. Bebeto and Nor provide width from the flanks, looking to push up and overlap to support the midfield. The defensive unit must stay compact to prevent balls from being played through the middle.

The midfield engine consists of a central trio that links the back line to the forwards. Juanse and Joe operate in the central roles to shield the defense and intercept passes. They work to win the ball back and immediately find the attacking players.
