Starting Lineup

Farzan · Moyo · Olisa · Jad · Yanal · Waqar · Zak · Mohanad · King · Praveen · Hamza

A heavy emphasis on directness and defensive solidity defines Atlético in this 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to absorb pressure and strike quickly when the opponent leaves gaps behind their midfield. The team relies on verticality to move the ball from the defensive third to the attackers as fast as possible.

Farzan operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. A back three consisting of Praveen, Mohanad, and Yanal provides a strong foundation to protect the central area. Mohanad sits in the middle to command the line, while Praveen and Yanal cover the wide spaces to intercept crosses. This defensive trio can sit deep in a low block or step up to compress the space in front of the goal.

Control of the central zone falls to a central midfield pair of Moyo and Hamza. They work together to shield the back three and break up play through tackles and interceptions. Moyo connects the defense to the forward line with short passes, while Hamza drives forward to support the attack. They must track back quickly to prevent the opposition from bypassing the midfield line.

The attacking unit features three players tasked with stretching the opposition defense. Olisa acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Zak and King operate as wide attackers on the left and right flanks. Zak and King look to cut inside into the half spaces, while the wing backs Waqar and Jad push high up the pitch to provide width and deliver crosses into the box.

One major strength of this Atlético lineup is the ability to create wide overloads when Waqar and Jad overlap the attackers. This movement forces the opposition defenders to shift, creating gaps for King and Zak to exploit. Another advantage is the compactness of the team when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to pass through the central corridor.

This 3-4-3 formation relies on high intensity and quick transitions to catch teams off guard. It is a lineup best suited for facing possession based sides that commit too many players forward.
