A double pivot controls the middle of the pitch to link the defense and attack. Rice works as the primary ball winner, stepping up to intercept passes and shield the back three. Beside him, Ødegaard acts as the creative engine, using his wide passing range to break lines and find attackers in dangerous areas. This pair must remain disciplined to prevent the midfield from becoming stretched during transitions.

The attacking trio focuses on stretching the play and punishing mistakes. Saka occupies the right wing, frequently cutting inside to create shooting opportunities or deliver crosses. On the left, Gordon provides pace and directness to drive at defenders. Alvarez leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring the wide players into play. This front three is instructed to press high and force turnovers in the final third.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its defensive density. Arsenal can sit deep and remain hard to break down, making it difficult for opponents to find space in the box.
