A heavy focus on directness and verticality defines the Inter lineup in a 3-4-3 formation. This system aims to control the pitch through aggressive pressing and rapid transitions. The Inter squad looks to move the ball quickly from the back to the front to catch opponents out of position.

At the base of the defense, Atubolu acts as the last line of defense. A back three provides a solid foundation with Akanji acting as the central figure to cover space and win aerial duels. Bastoni operates on the left side to step up into midfield, while Bisseck holds the right side to manage wide threats. Dimarco and Baku function as wide midfielders who must track back to help the defense while also providing width when the team pushes up the pitch.

The midfield functions as a central engine room with a two-man pivot. Barella drives the play forward with his high pressing intensity and ability to break the line with his passing. Zielinski links the play between the defenders and the attackers, looking to find pockets of space in the middle. This central duo works to intercept passes and shield the three defenders behind them.

In the final third, the attacking unit remains high and wide. Lautaro leads the line as a lone striker, working to hold up the ball and create space for others. Gnonto and Leweling act as wide attackers who cut inside to threaten the goal. Their movements create constant pressure on the opposing full backs, forcing the defense to shift and leaving gaps for late runs from the midfield.

The primary advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads through the movements of Dimarco and Baku. When the wingers tuck in, the wide midfielders push higher to cross the ball. Inter also gains a tactical edge through their ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play from the back.

This 3-4-3 formation provides a balance of defensive solidity and attacking threat. It is a lineup best suited for dominating games against teams that struggle with high intensity and quick transitions.
