A high pressing and vertical style of play defines Inter as they deploy a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup focuses on winning the ball high up the pitch and quickly transitioning into attack to catch the opposition out of position. By spreading the field wide, the team creates many passing lanes to move the ball forward with speed.

At the back, Atubolu keeps goal for the defense. A back three consisting of Bisseck, Akanji, and Bastoni provides a solid foundation. Bisseck acts as the right-sided defender while Bastoni covers the left side, both ready to step up to intercept passes. Akanji sits in the middle to organize the unit and dominate in the air. The wide players, Dimarco and Baku, act as wing backs who push high to provide width and track back when the team loses possession.

The midfield operates as a central block of four to control the center of the pitch. Barella and Zielinski form the core, with Barella driving forward into space and Zielinski looking to break the line with his passing range. Dimarco and Baku provide the width from the flanks, allowing the central duo to focus on pressing and connecting the defense to the attack. This unit works to shield the back three and shift quickly to cover the wings.

In the attacking third, the team utilizes three attackers to stretch the opposition. Lautaro leads the line as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and lead the press. Diaby operates on the right wing to cut inside and create chances, while Leweling stays wide on the left to provide crosses. These movements are designed to pull defenders out of position and create space in the middle for the late runs of the midfielders.

Inter gains many advantages through this setup. The wing backs, Dimarco and Baku, allow for wide overloads that force the opposition to pull defenders away from the center. This creates numerical superiority in the middle for Barella and Zielinski. Additionally, the trio of Bisseck, Akanji, and Bastoni offers great compactness when defending a low block, making it difficult for opponents to find space between the lines.

This 3-4-3 formation relies on intense pressing and rapid transitions to overwhelm opponents. It is best suited for games against teams that play a high defensive line or struggle to handle wide overloads.
