High pressing and rapid verticality define this Ghana lineup, which operates within a 2-5-3 formation. The Black Stars aim to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately look to break the lines to catch opponents out of position. This formation is built to dominate the central areas and overwhelm the middle of the pitch during both the attacking and defensive phases.

At the base of the defense, Ati Zigi acts as the lone goalkeeper tasked with organizing the backline. The defensive unit relies on a pair of central defenders, Adjetey and Opoku, who must hold a high line to compress the playing area. Because there are no full backs, Adjetey and Opoku must be capable of covering large spaces and winning individual duels when the opposition tries to play wide. They need to step up to intercept passes and stay compact to prevent any direct runs through the center.

The midfield occupies the largest part of the pitch, acting as the engine of the Ghana team. A double pivot consisting of Senaya and Mensah sits deep to shield the two central defenders and provide a screen for the backline. Ahead of them, Owusu and T. Partey operate in the central channels to control the tempo and link the defense to the attack. Thomas Partey uses his passing range to switch play and drive the team forward, while Semenyo occupies the attacking midfield role to create chances and press the opponent's holding players.

In the final third, the attacking unit consists of three players working in close proximity. Thomas-Asante leads the line as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and make runs into the channels. Sulemana and Fatawu provide the necessary width on the left and right wings, respectively. These wide attackers are expected to cut inside to find goalscoring opportunities or push high to support the midfield press. Their movement creates constant tension for the opposition defenders.

This setup offers significant tactical advantages, particularly in terms of numerical superiority in the center of the park. By flooding the midfield, Ghana can dominate possession and press in coordinated waves to force turnovers.
