Fenerbahçe Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Škriniar (Çağlar) · STOPER (Ümit Akdağ) · Archie Brown (Levent) · Semedo (Mert Müldür) · Kante (Álvarez veya Amrabat) · Asensio (Talisca) · Guendouzi (İsmail) · SANTRAFOR (Chérif) · Kerem (Nene) · YARATICI SAĞ KANAT (Musaba / Oğuz) · Ederson (Mert Günok)Fenerbahçe utilizes a 3-4-3 formation to control the tempo of the match. This lineup is built to play a high press and dominate the central areas of the pitch. The intent is to win the ball back quickly in the opponent half and use a vertical passing style to catch the defense out of position.
SANTRAFOR acts as the last line of defense in goal. Ahead of him, the back three consists of Kerem, Asensio, and YARATICI SAĞ KANAT. Asensio sits in the center to provide coverage and organize the line, while Kerem and YARATICI SAĞ KANAT operate as wide center backs who must step up to intercept passes or track runs. This defensive unit functions as a block that can shift sideways to close gaps.
The midfield works in a four man unit to connect the defense to the attack. Guendouzi sits in a single pivot role to shield the back three and break up play. Next to him, Kante uses his intense pressing and ability to intercept passes to disrupt the opposition. Archie Brown and Semedo operate in the wider central roles, driving forward to support the attack and covering the spaces left behind when the wingers push high.
In the attacking third, Fenerbahçe employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. Ederson leads the line as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Škriniar and STOPER play as wide wingers, looking to cut inside into the half spaces or stay wide to cross. The forwards press in a coordinated wave to force mistakes from the defenders near their own goal.
One major tactical advantage of this formation is the ability to create numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch through the four midfielders. The team can also create wide overloads when Archie Brown and Semedo push up to support the wingers. This allows the side to isolate wide players in one on one situations once they break the first line of the defense.
This 3-4-3 formation relies on intense pressing and quick transitions to overwhelm the opponent. It is best suited for games where the team wants to dominate possession and push the opposition deep into their own territory.
