Inter play a vertical 3-4-3 that focuses on quick transitions and wide attacking play. This formation is built to exploit space behind the opposition defense by using aggressive wingers and hard running midfielders. Inter aim to use their width to stretch the play and create gaps in the middle of the pitch.

CALLIGARIS stays between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit consists of a back three where STABILE sits in the middle to cover space and command the area. STANTE acts as the right center back to handle physical duels while JAKIROVIC plays as the left center back to intercept passes. These defenders must step up to catch opponents offside and keep the defensive line high.

The midfield operates with two central players and two wide players. BOVO and BERENBRUCH act as the central pair to shield the defense and win second balls. They work to break the line with forward passes and connect the back three to the front line. AMERIGHI and COCCHI provide the width from the wide midfield roles. They must track back to help the defense and push up to support the attack.

The attacking line uses three forwards to pressure the opposition. SPINACCÈ leads the line as the lone striker to hold up the ball and pin the center backs. DE PIERI plays on the right wing to cut inside and create chances while ZOUIN operates on the left. These wingers push high to force the opposition wide and create room for the midfield to run into.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The wide players AMERIGHI and COCCHI can create wide overloads when they overlap with the wingers. The team can also achieve compactness when defending by dropping into a low block. This helps them stay solid against teams that want to control possession.

This 3-4-3 lineup relies on high intensity and quick movement to overwhelm the opponent. It is best suited for games where the team needs to exploit a high defensive line through speed on the wings.
