ATUBOLU guards the goal as the lone goalkeeper. The defensive unit works with a back three of BISSECK, LACROIX, and BASTONI. BASTONI serves as a ball playing defender with a great passing range to start attacks from deep. BISSECK uses his aerial strength to win headers in the box, while LACROIX covers the central zone. DIMARCO and BAKU act as wing backs who push up the flanks to provide constant width. They must be ready to track back and defend the wide areas when the team sits deep.

In the center, the midfield functions as a double pivot. BARELLA and ANDRÉ are responsible for controlling the middle of the park. BARELLA uses his pressing intensity to hunt the ball and disrupt play. ANDRÉ holds his position to shield the defense and intercept incoming passes. This duo connects the defensive line to the attack by playing passes that break the line of the opposition.

The attacking front consists of three players working in tandem. LAUTARO plays on the left and DIABY on the right, both acting as wide attackers who want to cut inside. PIO ESPOSITO leads the line as the lone striker to hold up the ball and engage the center backs. The wingers create space by pulling defenders out of position, while the forwards press high to keep the play in the opponent half.
