Rodríguez stays between the posts to command the area and organize the defense. The back four works as a unit, with Marrufo and Etchebarne acting as the central defenders. Marrufo and Etchebarne must cover the space behind the full backs when they push high to support the attack. Ayala and Espinoza act as attacking full backs who overlap to add width to the play. The defenders must shift together to block passing lanes and prevent the opposition from breaking the line.

The midfield consists of a trio that links the back line to the front three. Blanc and Cazares occupy the central roles to shield the defense and intercept play. Miranda plays as the attacking midfielder to drive the team into the final third and connect the phases of play. These central players help the team transition by playing passes that break the line, while Miranda looks to move between the lines to create scoring chances and drive forward.
