Inter plays a 3-4-3 formation that relies on a heavy high press and quick transitions. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately push the ball forward to exploit space. The goal is to pin the opponent in their own half through constant pressure and aggressive vertical movements.

In goal, CALLIGARIS stays alert to organize the back line. The defense operates as a back three with STABILE acting as the central anchor to cover space. STANTE and JAKIROVIC play as the wide center backs, tasked to step up and intercept passes or slide across to cover the flanks. This defensive unit works as a compact block, shifting side to side to close down passing lanes.

The midfield uses two central players and two wide players to control the pitch. BOVO and BERENBRUCH work in the center to shield the defense and break the lines with their passing. They provide the link between the back three and the front three by moving the ball quickly. On the flanks, AMERIGHI and MARELLO act as wing backs, pushing high to provide width and tracking back to help the defenders when the team loses the ball.

Inter uses a front three to attack the opponent's box. SPINACCÈ leads the line as the lone striker, looking to hold up the ball and create space for others. DE PIERI and ZOUIN operate as wide attackers, often cutting inside to shoot or create space for the wing backs to overlap. These three forwards press the opposition defenders relentlessly to force turnovers in dangerous areas.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when AMERIGHI and MARELLO push forward to join the attackers. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three and the midfield to squeeze the opponent. This creates a high level of compactness that makes it hard for the other team to play through the middle.

This 3-4-3 formation focuses on aggressive pressing and rapid forward play. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
