Inter employs a 3-4-3 formation designed for a high press and vertical play. The lineup focuses on winning the ball back quickly and moving it forward through the lines with speed. This system allows the team to control large areas of the pitch by squeezing the opponent in their own half and forcing them into mistakes.

ATUBOLU occupies the goal to command the box and direct the defense. The back three features BASTONI, LACROIX, and BISSECK. BASTONI serves as a ball playing defender who uses his passing range to break the first line of pressure. LACROIX focuses on aerial dominance and central coverage, while BISSECK provides stability and covers the right side. When the team defends, BAKU and DIMARCO drop back to form a compact block.

The midfield functions with a central duo of BARELLA and ANDRÉ. BARELLA brings immense pressing intensity to hunt the ball in the center of the pitch and disrupt the opposition. ANDRÉ sits deeper to shield the defenders and link the play from the back to the front. BAKU and DIMARCO act as the engine on the flanks, pushing up to provide width and helping the team transition from defense to attack with long runs.

The attacking unit uses three players to stretch the opponent and create chaos. PIO ESPOSITO acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. LAUTARO moves from the left wing to cut inside and threaten the goal, while DIABY provides pace and width on the right side. The movement of these three attackers is meant to pull the opposing defense apart and create space for late runs.

A major strength is the ability to create wide overloads through the constant runs of DIMARCO and BAKU. Another advantage is the capacity to press high in coordinated waves to force errors in the opposition half. Inter can also shift the play quickly to find isolated players in one on one situations on the wings, making them very dangerous in transition.

This 3-4-3 formation is a high intensity system built for aggressive ball winning and quick attacks. It works best against teams that try to build play from the back against a heavy press.
