Müller operates in the middle to find space and connect the lines between the defenders and Lewandowski. Sane and Olise sit on the left and right sides of this midfield block to drive forward and link play. This group works to intercept passes and recycle possession to keep the opposition pinned back.

Lewandowski leads the line as a lone striker to lead the press and hold up the ball. The attack relies on Sane and Olise to make runs into the channels and create chaos. While Lewandowski stays central to use his finishing, the wide players cut inside to create more attacking presence in the box. This formation uses the five midfielders to push the ball toward the goal and support the lone striker in tight spaces.
