Elisha sits in the middle of the defense to lead the back line, supported by Jam-Jam on the right and Kenzo on the left. To provide width and support the attack, Carlyle operates as the left wing back and Cheslin works as the right wing back. These wide defenders are expected to push high up the pitch when the team has the ball but must track back quickly to maintain the integrity of the back five.

The midfield consists of a double pivot with Aphakama and Breydan occupying the central spaces. These two players must work hard to shield the defense and intercept passes before they reach the final third. Aphakama and Breydan act as the connection between the defensive unit and the front three, looking to win the ball and immediately find the attackers. They need to hold their positions to prevent being overrun in central areas while looking to break the line with direct passes.
