Risser stands between the posts to command the area. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four where Fresneda and Davide Bartesaghi serve as the wide defenders. Fresneda and Davide Bartesaghi are tasked to overlap and provide width during the build up. In the center, Luis Benedetti and Jérémy Jacquet act as the ball playing defenders to start attacks. These two must also be ready to step up to catch attackers offside or drop to cover space.

In the middle of the pitch, the midfield works as a trio with an attacking ten and a double pivot to control the tempo. Samuele Inácio plays in a more advanced role to create chances and push into the final third. Breno Bidon and Alex Tóth occupy the deeper areas to shield the defense and intercept passes. Both midfielders also help to switch play and ensure the team maintains control when occupying the central zones.

The attacking lineup features three players tasked with stretching the opponent. Pietuszewski and Nwaneri occupy the wings as wide attackers who look to cut inside into the half spaces.
