Inter employs a 3-4-3 formation that focuses on a high press and quick vertical transitions. This lineup is built to control the center of the pitch while using wide players to stretch the opposition. The team looks to win the ball back high up the pitch to catch opponents out of position.

ATUBOLU stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a back three where LACROIX acts as the central anchor. BISSECK operates on the right side of the defense to cover space, while BASTONI provides a ball playing presence on the left. These defenders must step up to squeeze the space and can push into midfield when the ball moves forward.

The midfield uses a double pivot system to manage the center of the park. ANDRÉ works to shield the defense and intercept passes, providing a screen for the back three. BARELLA drives forward from a deeper position to break the line and connect the defensive unit to the attack. On the flanks, BAKU and DIMARCO provide width, acting as wide midfielders who can overlap to support the front three or track back to defend.

The attack features three players positioned to press high. DIABY plays on the right as an inverted winger to cut inside and create chances, while GNONTO / NDOYE occupies the left flank to provide pace. LAUTARO leads the line as a lone striker, using his movement to hold up the ball and draw defenders away. This front line is designed to force mistakes through constant running and pressing.

One advantage for Inter is the ability to create wide overloads when BAKU and DIMARCO push forward to join the attackers. The team also benefits from numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch due to the work rate of the midfielders. This formation allows for a high press in coordinated waves to disrupt the opponent build up.

Inter relies on this 3-4-3 formation to dominate games through aggressive pressing and quick attacking movements. It is best suited for facing teams that play a high defensive line or struggle to manage wide players.
