BASTONI and LACROIX act as the central pair, with BASTONI known for his ball playing ability and LACROIX providing physical presence. BISSECK pushes up the right flank to support the attack, while DIMARCO functions as an attacking left back who loves to overlap and deliver crosses. The unit must stay compact to prevent being bypassed by long balls.

The midfield relies on a double pivot to maintain balance. ANDRÉ (C) sits deeper to shield the defense and break up play, using his presence to intercept passes. Beside him, BARELLA drives forward to connect the lines and link the defense to the attack. These two must work hard to cover the spaces left behind when the full backs push up. They are responsible for winning the ball back quickly and finding the forwards with direct passes.

The attacking line uses two wide wingers and two central forwards to create constant pressure. LEWELING and DIABY stay wide to stretch the opposition defense, with LEWELING looking to cut inside and DIABY using his dribbling to beat his marker. ZIELINSKI plays as a second striker, moving between the lines to create space. LAUTARO leads the line as the main striker, focusing on his hold up the ball skills and clinical movement inside the penalty area to finish chances.

This formation offers significant attacking weight and the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using four attackers, Inter can create wide overloads when BISSECK and DIMARCO join the run. The team also gains an advantage in isolating wide players in one on one situations. This setup forces the opposition to sit deep to avoid being overrun in the channels.
