Bahia utilizes a 4-3-3 formation that focuses on a high press and quick transitions. This lineup is built to dominate the ball in the middle third and push the opposition back toward their own goal. The goal is to win the ball high up the pitch and use rapid forward passes to catch the defense out of position.

JOÃO PAULO acts as the last line of defense in goal. Ahead of him, the defense works in a flat back four. IAGO plays as a left back, often looking to overlap to provide width, while GILBERTO operates on the right side to support the flank. In the center, DAVID and MARCOS occupy the two central defender roles, working together to block crosses and cover any runs made behind them. This unit stays compact to prevent gaps from opening up between the lines.

The midfield relies on a trio that connects the defense to the attack. ERICK and NICOLÁS operate in the central areas to shield the back four and intercept passes. They work to win the ball and immediately find MICHEL, who operates in the attacking midfield role. MICHEL acts as the link, looking to break the line with vertical passes. This midfield trio must shift as a unit to cover space and prevent the opponent from playing through the center.

Bahia employs three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. EVERALDO leads the line as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and pin the central defenders. On the wings, MATEO and CRISTIAN occupy the wide areas to provide width and cut inside into scoring positions. These attackers press the opposition backline to force turnovers. By spreading the play wide, they create space in the middle for the late runs of the midfielders.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The presence of MATEO and CRISTIAN allows for wide overloads when IAGO and GILBERTO push forward. Bahia can also use the ability to press high in coordinated waves, with the front three and MICHEL forcing mistakes in the opponent's half. The proximity of the players allows for quick switches of play to exploit the flanks.

This 4-3-3 formation creates a heavy presence in both the attacking and defensive thirds. It is a system best suited for games where Bahia wants to dictate the tempo and force a high turnover rate.
