Aitor focuses on his aerial strength and positioning to stop direct attacks, while Yeray acts as a ball playing defender to start play from the back. Adama and Andoni provide width as full backs, with Adama looking to overlap to send crosses into the box and Andoni ready to cover the wide area or step up when the team presses.

The midfield operates with a combination of roles to link the defense to the attack. Iñigo Ruiz works to connect the lines with his passing range and ability to control the ball under pressure. Mikel plays in the left central role to drive forward and press opponents, while Unai operates in the attacking midfield position to create chances and find pockets of space between the lines.
