On the flanks, THOMAS and ROMAIN act as overlapping full backs who push high to provide width. The midfield uses a variation of a single pivot with two more advanced players to control the center. AYYOUB and BENJAMIN occupy the central roles to shield the defense and break the line with their passing. They connect the back four to the attack by recycling possession and making short passes. HÁKON ARNAR plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to create chances and link the midfield to the front three. This group works to intercept passes and prevent the opponent from playing through the middle.
