SIMON acts as the last line of defense, playing behind a back three. GUSTAVO occupies the center of the defensive unit, acting as the anchor to hold the line and cover space. To his sides, SORRISO and GIL provide width and depth, with GIL acting as the left-sided center back and SORRISO on the right. This back three stays compact to protect the central zone while the wide players push up to help the midfield.

The midfield uses a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. MATHIAS and TOM VAN sit in front of the defense to shield the back line and intercept passes. They work to break the line with vertical passes to the creative players. RODRIGO and PEDRO occupy the half spaces, acting as the link between the holding players and the attackers.
