AVS Football Formation
Starting Lineup
ADRIEL · MATEUS (PIVÔ) · CRISTIAN (DEVENISH) · RÚBEN (SEMEDO) · DANIEL (RIVAS) · RONI · PEDRO (LIMA) · GUSTAVO (MENDONÇA) · TUNDE (AKINSOLA) · ÓSCAR (PEREA) · TOMANÉAVS utilizes a 4-3-3 formation designed to play a direct and vertical style of football. This lineup focuses on quick transitions and using wide areas to stretch the opposition. The team aims to win the ball in central zones and push forward rapidly to catch the defense off guard.
ADRIEL operates between the posts to anchor the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat four where MATEUS and DANIEL act as full backs to provide width. MATEUS is expected to overlap to support the attack while DANIEL tracks back to cover space. In the center, RÚBEN and CRISTIAN form the pair of central defenders who must hold a high line and win aerial duels. This unit works to keep the team compact and intercept passes before they reach the box.
The midfield works in a way that connects the defense to the forward line. RONI and PEDRO sit in the central roles to shield the back four and win second balls. GUSTAVO plays as an attacking midfielder to drive the ball forward and break the line with passes. These three players must shift together to cover gaps and ensure the team stays solid during transitions.
The attacking front line uses three players to create constant pressure. TOMANÉ acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and occupy the central defenders. On the flanks, TUNDE and ÓSCAR operate as wide wingers to stretch the play. TUNDE and ÓSCAR often cut inside to shoot or create space for the full backs to push up. This movement forces the opposing defenders to pull out of position and leaves gaps in the middle.
One major advantage for AVS is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs join the wingers. This creates situations where TUNDE or ÓSCAR can isolate their markers in one on one battles. Another strength is the speed of transition from a mid block to an attacking stance. The team can move the ball from the midfield trio to the front three in just a few passes.
This 4-3-3 formation relies on quick movement and wide play to break down defensive lines. It is a lineup best suited for facing teams that sit deep and leave space behind their wing backs.
