AVS plays a 4-2-4 formation that is built for high verticality and intense attacking pressure. SIMÃO stays between the posts to organize the back line and sweep up long balls. The defense consists of a flat back four with KIKI and GUILLEM acting as full backs who provide width. ADERLLAN and PAULO occupy the central defensive spots, where they must cover the large spaces left behind when the team pushes up. KIKI and GUILLEM need to track back quickly if the ball is lost to prevent counter attacks. The defensive unit must stay compact when the opponent breaks the lines to avoid being caught in isolation.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to provide some stability in the center of the pitch. ÁNGEL and TIAGO occupy the two central roles, tasked with shielding the defense and breaking up play. They act as the link between the defenders and the front four, helping to move the ball from the back to the attackers. ÁNGEL and TIAGO must work hard to intercept passes and ensure the team does not get overrun in the middle.

In the attacking phase, AVS utilizes four forwards to pin the opposition defense deep. GUILHERME and ANDRE play as wide wingers, looking to cut inside or cross the ball into the box. ANTOINE and DIEGO act as the two central strikers, working together to hold up the ball and occupy the central defenders. This front line is designed to press high, forcing the opponent into mistakes near their own goal.

By having GUILHERME and ANDRE stay high and wide, the team can pull the opposition full backs out of position.
