Union SG Football Formation
Starting Lineup
KJELL (SCHERPEN) · ROSS (SYKES) · CAMERON (BURGESS) · KEVIN (MAC ALLISTER) · LOUIS (PATRIS) · ANAN (KHALAILI) · ADEM (ZORGANE) · KAMIEL VAN (DE PERRE) · ANOUAR AIT (EL HADJ) · PROMISE (DAVID) · KEVIN (RODRÍGUEZ)Union SG employs a 3-5-2 formation that prioritizes a high press and quick transitions. This lineup is built to control the central areas of the pitch while using the width of the wing backs to stretch the opposition. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and move it vertically to the forwards as fast as possible.
Kjell stays between the posts to organize the back line during defensive moments. The three central defenders, Cameron, Kevin, and Ross, operate as a compact unit to block passing lanes and win aerial duels. Cameron holds the line while Kevin and Ross provide cover to intercept runs. The wing backs, Louis and Anan, are tasked with covering the entire flank, dropping deep to form a five man block when defending and pushing up to overlap the midfielders when the team has the ball.
The midfield functions with a central trio supported by Anouar Ait playing as an attacking ten. Anouar Ait operates in the pockets between the opposition lines to create chances. Adem and Kamiel Van control the middle, with Adem shielding the defense and Kamiel Van driving forward to connect the lines. This central group works to press opponents and regain possession quickly in the middle third.
Union SG uses two forwards, Promise and Kevin, to lead the attack. These two players work together to hold up the ball and pin back the opposition central defenders. Promise often makes runs to break the line, while Kevin looks to occupy space in the box. The presence of Louis and Anan provides the width needed to pull defenders out of position, creating gaps for the two strikers or the attacking ten to exploit.
This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly through numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch. By packing the center, the team can dominate possession and disrupt the opponent's build up. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads when Louis and Anan push high, forcing the opposition wingers to track back and leaving their own attackers isolated.
The 3-5-2 formation focuses on central dominance and aggressive pressing to force turnovers. It is a lineup best suited for games where the team wants to overwhelm the opponent in the midfield and exploit spaces through quick vertical play.
