Roma uses a 3-4-3 formation that focuses on a high press and quick vertical transitions. This lineup is built to control the middle of the pitch while using wide players to stretch the opposition. The goal for Roma is to win the ball high up the pitch and move it forward rapidly to catch the opponent out of position.

M. Svilar stays between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back three consists of G. Leoni, G. Mancini, and E. N´Dicka. G. Mancini acts as the central anchor, using his aerial strength and physicality to block attacks. G. Leoni and E. N´Dicka sit on either side to cover the wide channels and step up to intercept passes. This unit works together to keep a high line, making sure the team stays compact when the ball is lost.

The midfield operates with two central players and two wide midfielders. B. Cristante and N. Pisilli sit in the middle to shield the defense and break up play. B. Cristante uses his high pressing intensity to disrupt the opponent. N. Pisilli works to connect the back three to the forward line by making runs into space. Wesley and N. Cambiaghi play on the flanks, providing width and helping the defense by tracking back when the opponent attacks the wings.

In the attacking third, the team uses three forwards. M. Retegui leads the line as the lone striker to hold up the ball and fight for aerial duels. L. Pellegrini and R. Orsolini act as wide attackers who cut inside to create chances. R. Orsolini uses his dribbling style to beat markers on the right, while L. Pellegrini looks to find pockets of space to pass. The forwards press in a coordinated way to force mistakes near the opponent's goal.

This formation provides several tactical advantages. The presence of three central defenders allows the team to maintain compactness when defending deep. The wide midfielders, Wesley and N. Cambiaghi, can create wide overloads when they overlap with the attackers. This setup also allows for quick speed of transition, as the midfield can immediately push the ball to the front three after an interception.

The 3-4-3 lineup is a heavy pressing formation designed to dominate games through physical presence and speed. It is best suited for facing teams that play with a high defensive line and struggle to defend wide areas.
