ISAÍAS plays as the attacking midfielder to connect the middle third to the front line. ISAÍAS looks to drive forward and create chances for the attackers. This midfield group works to transition the ball from the defensive zone to the attacking zone quickly.

Sint-Truiden utilizes three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. OUMAR plays as a lone striker to hold up the ball and contest aerial duels. On the wings, ILIAS and ADAM act as wide attackers who cut inside to find space. These players press high to force turnovers near the opponent goal. The movement of ILIAS and ADAM pulls the opposing full backs out of position to create gaps for ISAÍAS to exploit.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having the forwards and midfielders step up together, Sint-Truiden creates intense pressure in the opponent half. Another strength is the wide overloads created when JOEDRICK and TAIGA overlap their wingers.
