MAXENCE stays between the posts to start the build up from the back. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four where DAVIS pushes up to provide width on the right side. THIBAULT acts as an overlapping full back on the left to support the attack. In the center, NOË and VIKTOR form the main defensive block, with NOË acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks while VIKTOR focuses on covering space and winning headers.

The midfield works in a three man arrangement to connect the defense to the attack. SIEBE and WOUTER sit in the central positions to shield the back line and break the lines with their passing. MATHIEU operates as an attacking ten, playing behind the striker to create chances and find gaps in the opponent defense. This midfield group works to press high and intercept passes before the opposition can turn.

The attacking line consists of three players designed to stretch the field. ABDOUL KARIM leads the line as a lone striker to hold up the ball and bring others into play. On the wings, WILLIAM and HENOK act as wide attackers who cut inside to challenge the central areas. These forwards press the opposition defenders heavily to force mistakes and create quick turnovers in the final third.

One major advantage for OH Leuven is the ability to create wide overloads by using the full backs to support the wingers. The formation also allows for high pressing in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build out from the back. By using MATHIEU in the pocket, the team can isolate wide players in one on one situations during rapid transitions.
