Inter plays a 3-4-3 formation designed for a high press and rapid verticality. This lineup aims to dominate through aggressive pressing and quick transitions. The club wants to win the ball high up the pitch and move it forward quickly to exploit gaps behind the opposition defense.

JOSEP stays between the posts to organize the back line. The defense functions as a back three with BASTONI acting as a ball playing defender on the left. BISSECK holds his position on the right while LACROIX provides strength in the center. These three defenders must step up together to compress the space and catch opponents offside.

The midfield consists of a central pair and two wide players. CALHANOGLU sits in the middle to control the tempo and use his passing range to break the line. BARELLA works alongside him to press hard and drive forward into the attacking third. On the flanks, DIMARCO and PORRO act as wing backs who push high to provide width. DIMARCO often cuts inside to create extra passing options while PORRO tracks back to help the defense.

The attacking unit uses three forwards to stretch the opposition. LAUTARO leads the line as a striker who can hold up the ball and link play. DIABY operates on the right wing to use his dribbling style to beat full backs, while CHAÏBI plays on the left to provide directness. This three-man front line presses in coordinated waves to force turnovers in the final third.

Inter gains a huge advantage through wide overloads when DIMARCO and CHAÏBI move into the same half space. The team also finds success through speed of transition, using the passing range of CALHANOGLU to find DIABY or LAUTARO instantly after a turnover. Having three central defenders allows the wing backs to push very high without leaving the center exposed.

This 3-4-3 formation provides a heavy offensive presence through width and central pressure. It is best suited for games against teams that play a high defensive line and struggle to deal with rapid vertical passing.
