Charlotte FC utilizes a 4-3-3 formation to drive a high press and vertical attacking style. This lineup aims to win the ball in the opposition half and strike quickly before the defense can settle. The goal is to keep the ball in advanced areas and maintain constant pressure.

KRISTIJAN acts as the last line of defense in goal. The back line consists of a flat back four where TIM and HENRY occupy the central roles. TIM and HENRY must be ready to step up to compress the pitch or drop to cover long balls. On the flanks, NATHAN and HARRY operate as full backs. NATHAN can push forward to overlap and deliver crosses, while HARRY helps to shift across the line to provide cover. The defensive unit functions by staying compact to block passing lanes.

The midfield works through a central trio where ASHLEY and LUCA provide the engine. One of them must sit deep to shield the defense while the other drives forward into the half spaces. PEP plays as the attacking ten to connect the midfield to the front line. PEP looks to find pockets of space between the lines to receive the ball and play through balls. This trio is responsible for breaking the line and controlling the tempo of the game.

Up front, the attack features three dedicated players. IDAN leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and work the defenders. On the wings, WILFRIED and LIEL provide the width. WILFRIED can cut inside from the left to create chances, while LIEL uses his pace to stretch the play on the right. The front three press in unison to force turnovers in dangerous positions.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using PEP to link the play, Charlotte FC can create numerical superiority in the center of the pitch. Another strength is the use of wide overloads when NATHAN and HARRY push up, which forces the opposition wingers to track back and leaves more room for WILFRIED and LIEL to operate.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on aggressive pressing and rapid vertical transitions. It is most effective against opponents that try to build play from the back under heavy pressure.
