Alvarado Football Formation
Starting Lineup
RAMIRO (MACAGNO) · EZEQUIEL (BONIFACIO) · LEONARD (COSTA) · IVÁN (VILLALBA) · NAHUEL (ARENA) · STEFANO (MOREYRA) · LEONEL (BUCCA) · GONZALO (RÍOS) · FABRIZIO (SARTORI) · LUÍS (SEQUEIRA) · BAUTISTA (DADÍN)Alvarado operates with a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to play a high press and vertical football. The goal is to win the ball high up the pitch and move quickly toward the opponent goal. This formation relies on aggressive movement to control the tempo of the game.
RAMIRO starts between the posts to command the area. The defensive unit uses a flat back four to maintain compactness. LEONARD and IVÁN act as the central defenders, where LEONARD focuses on aerial strength and IVÁN covers the space behind. NAHUEL and EZEQUIEL play as full backs, providing width by looking to overlap when the ball moves to the opposite side. The back line must step up together to keep the distance between the defenders and midfielders small.
The midfield works as a trio to control the center of the pitch. STEFANO and LEONEL operate in the central roles, with STEFANO working to shield the defense and LEONEL looking to drive forward into space. GONZALO plays as an attacking ten, sitting behind the forwards to connect the lines. GONZALO seeks to break the line with vertical passes to find the attackers. This group links the defense to the attack by recycling possession or launching quick transitions.
Alvarado uses three attackers to stretch the opposition. BAUTISTA acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press. LUÍS and FABRIZIO play as wide wingers on the left and right flanks. These wingers often cut inside to create space for the overlapping full backs. The front line is designed to pin the opposition defenders back and create movement in the final third.
One major strength of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to pressure the ball, the midfielders can intercept passes and launch attacks. Another advantage is the width provided by NAHUEL and EZEQUIEL, which creates wide overloads. This forces the opposition to shift across the pitch, opening gaps in the middle for GONZALO to exploit.
This 4-3-3 formation focuses on high intensity and rapid ball movement. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
